Princeton - Great Shopping - Things To Do

If you ever want to find a perfect outfit for any occasion, without going to Bergdorf Goodman in New York, ladies, you have to come to Princeton- and visit Hedy Shepard – a boutique store owned by Rachel and Lynn Rabinowitz – a daughter and mother team.  You will be treated like royalty – just tell Rachel and Lynn, what you want and in a minute, you will be trying on gorgeous things. A word of warning – once you try them on, it’s hard to resist a big spree.

How is that related to real estate? It’s not, really. The only connection is my view that the community is the sum of its parts, and great shopping and great service, make a community a desirable place to live. That’s why I like to write about special places in and around Princeton.

At Hedy Shepard – 80% of the customers are greeted by name. Rachel and Lynn say that they buy with their specific customers in mind. Their typical customer is a 30-85 years young woman, who is stylish, but not trendy. The pieces in the store are beautiful, up-to-the-minute, and yet will probably look good five years from now.

I asked Rachel and Lynn to select one special piece for me for next season. To my surprise, they pulled out the jacket I was attracted to as soon as I came in. It was amazing how they sized up my style and offered something that would appeal to me.

Stores like Hedy Shepard make Princeton different then just any other suburbs. I write about these special places to give my readers a better sense of different aspects of living in the Princeton area. If you are thinking about your next move, consider Princeton and feel free to ask me how this town can be special for you.

Hi Faina! There are some cute clothes in there! I love shopping. These blogs are important to your community. :) People like to know where they can go for anything and if you know your area...they can look to you.

Pamela - this is the reason for the post. I want to give my readers a sense of the community and places that offer great service, and make it different from other American suburbs. Thanks for stopping buy. Too bad, you can only do virtual shopping in this store. Although the owners told me that they have people coming to shop from other parts of the country.

Faina, I think it is great that you write about things other than real estate so that  those thinking about moving to Princeton can learn more about the lifestyle and what is available.  Good Job!

Faina- This is a great post. People want to know where to go shopping in Princeton. People also gather all this info before they move to an area. If you can be the source of this information you will get business! Katerina

Katerina - I would like my readers to know what it's like to live in the Princeton area, and this means not just finding the right home, but understanding what makes our community special. When you come to Princeton, we will make a point of stopping by this store. Believe me, it's hard to leave empty handed.
