Transmitter / RecorderOur clients tell us that they've reduced their call volume by over half. The best part is that the calls that they DO get are more interested since they've already received all the info they need regarding the size of the bedroom, number of rooms, price, etc...

We use a small FM transmitter, a custom sign and radio commercial quality voice production to put together a talking sign that delivers your message 24 hours a day.

Imagine how convenient it is for prospects to listen to your listing information from the comfort of their car.

I don't know if it is just me but I am not so crazy about talking signs. I mean, how do I know that the talking sign is not deceiving people? That is just me. Great  post.

Riel

Are these the FM version of the Talking Houses (which transmit on the AM band)?

Love the concept... anything that makes qualifying buyers is definitely worth looking into. Thanks

Terry: They are smaller than the Talking House transmitters which are the size of a VCR.  You can touch the antenna and not mess up the signal and as it's FM, it's better quality audio.  (doesn't come with the full Sales kit that TH does though, no video's to lure FSBO's)

Thanks Vince, it works well for that

Lanre: I don't know what to say... the sign doesn't deceive people, the people who make the recording deceive people... don't deceive people in your advertising (signs / MLS / TV / Radio / wherever) and you won't have to worry about that?

Im a new Realtor on a tight budget.

So exactly how cheaply can I do this. Talking house wants $69.00 per month and that is supposedly a discounted rate.

Lets say I want to buy 2 and I dont care if they are used. I want to be able to plug in the device thats playing the message no batteries.

 Thanks whomever answers.

Riel- I have talked to a lot of people about Talking House. I blogged about this particular subject a while ago. I mean if you think about it how in the world can a house talk? Nobody as far as I know has had any success using it.

Perhaps you missed this post.

I'd say landing on national TV for your marketing was a sign of success.

We've had nothing but positive feedback, but then we aren't selling our system as a way to convert FSBO people.  Maybe the real problem is in how people were applying the technology.

How is the talking sign concept more cost effective and user friendly than other call capture services?

for one thing it's a 1 time cost - you own the equipment and can use it for years after

I think it's more imediate than calling a number and entering a code

however, I don't think one necessarilly cancels out the other.

the message could be played on both and simply let the consumer choose

it's not a "lead capture" in that same sense (again where a client might be more willing to use it) so you don't have records of how many people listened to it etc...
