Ok, most Active Rain members have  found the spell check button. However, we are still on our own for title spell

checking. If I spot an error, I will email the member right away giving the blog title. Sometimes even with spell

check there are errors in the body. In that case I will give the writer the paragraph and or line #.

I hope the courtesy will be returned when you spot an error in any

of my posts. Also, much appreciation to the members who have received a surprise email from: Sister Suzi and

did not take offense as far as I could tell.

The disturbing thing about title errors is that the error is immediately exposed in searches.

Prospects and related professionals may conclude that we would handle transactions with the same due diligence

as our public blogging.

In conclusion--it doesn't stop at our blogs. I personally made an error that I keep forgetting to correct and

can no longer find -on my website-. That's embarrassing! However, I have found more than my share of website

errors at other websites.

MLS listing typos--I alert the agent. I hope this is taken as a professional courtesy and not as being a busy

body.  What do you think?

Please, Please get my attention if you find an error of any type.

As a self professed spelling buffoon (I think it has to do with fat fingers) - I always appreciate grammar and spelling mistakes being pointed out.  We can't be good at everything - thanks for sharing your gift with the rest of us.

Suzi, a Rainer spotted a typo in one of my blog titles, and I greatly appreciated a quick comment pointing it out.  So if you find any typos in any of my blogs (and I seem to be incapable of producing a document without one) please, please tell me!

I would want someone to tell me if I had a typo. Unfortunately, not everyone cares and I've had some take offense to my help. I'm careful now, who I try to help.

Chris, Patricia, and Lisa: Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I never comment within the post by email the blogger. It is amazing that some blogs achieve many comments while maintaining a tile error.

"tile error" I wish you would visit my site and see what I have mispelled. I am bad as most of the work is done late at nite and I do use the spell checker but it does not get it all. Glad to see you blogging again.

We all need someone watching our backs. Way to go Suzi!

As careful as I am, sometimes its hard to see the forest through the trees.  I love it when someone calls to my attention that I have a typo.  Just as I love it when someone calls to my attention that a button may be undone on my blouse!   I think it's common courtesy and hopefully others would also.

Nice post Suzi. I have found typos in mine weeks after posting.... Another set of eyes are great!

Hello.  What a great attitude all of you have! Please, watch my back, too; okay? This is one way you can spot check errors in titles--Google yourself.

I recently spotted an error in someone else's title by googling myself. Somehow the blogger with a ttle typo had named me in the blog, therefore that title popped up with my name.

Hi Suzi,  You think like me.  I hate to make spelling errors myself.  I do tend to correct people, and some of them really don't appreciate it.

I hate it when a street is spelled wrong in the MLS and I ask the admin guys to correct that, so we can search properly for sold comps in the future.  Of course when you have street names like Mahola, Mohala, Pelekana, Pelenaka, Oili, OliOli, etc, it would be nice to know which one it is.  It is amusing to see just how badly some agents can butcher the language.

I also agree that as professionals we should go the extra mile to be correct.

Suzi great post, I also alert the agent of errors.  Just this morning an agent posted a bulletin on our MLS that had a link to her cheap owner financed mobile, when you clicked the clink it took you to another agents vacant lot instead, I just called her and let her know.  I think if you tell the agent it is just and FYI then they wont take it the wrong way!
