Do You Have Any Website Suggestions?

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Gundaker
As a newbie, I wanted to ask a couple of questions. As a Real Estate Professional in O'Fallon, Missouri, I have 2 listings I'm trying to get sold. One is way overpriced and I am unable to convince the homeowner to reduce the price in this market. The other house is priced pretty well for the market.  My listings are on 4 different Coldwell Banker websites as well as Realtor.com. Do you think it would pay on a small budget to get my own website? Also, if so do you have any suggestions about good real estate websites which would be affordable on that small budget? I've been toying with the idea of having my own website but have a small budget right now. Do you think it would increase the traffic to my listings?

Go with a free website, such as a la mode, Point2MLS, etc...  I use a templated paid website through Realtytech.com which offers a lot more bells and whistles.  Your MLS listing and doing Open Houses should give you the most bang for your buck.

Show Me real estate in Kansas City

Definition: Real estate is a local business driven by local people. If there is additional market exposure that you can achieve on a local basis, go for it. St. Louis markets (IL/MO) plus other Midwest markets may be appropriate; however, I don't believe CB will let you go out of their markets.

Welcome to Keller Williams and tell them I sent you. You will see the difference immediately in your pocket.

Debby,

Your active rain website can function as a site to display listings, blog, write about you etc...

You get good search engine placement through active rain.

Have to agree with Sandy, Active Rain can do everything you need, and it's free.  It will have better search engine placement than any site you quickly set up.
Post your listings to your blog.

Debby, absolutely have your own website.   You can add riders to your lawn sign with the website address on it, and receive even more exposure.  Company sites are fine, but have your own domain name at the very least.

Debby, I think having your own web site will set you apart from the other realtors in your area.

Debby, I know your posting was from Sept.  Do you still have your listings?

I like the idea of having your own website.  I am with Prudential Select Properties. LOVE IT! We have our own websites and pretty close to being the highest tech from what I have seen.  Have you ever considered a change in compnaies? I have NEVER regretted the day I walked in the front door.  We also have absolutely the best training (and it's FREE).
Let me know if you have any questions (strictly confidential)
