How Many Realtors Can Change A Light?

Mortgage and Lending with Citizens Bank, NMLS#119288 NMLS #119288

A little play on the word, hopefully got your attention.

"I Pledge to do my part to save energy and help reduce the risks of global climate change by replacing at least ChangeALightone light in my home with an ENERGY STAR qualified one"

It is a simple pledge, one that we can all do.  I've committed to changing one more light in my house (most of our bulbs are compact fluorescent already). This is a simple step all of us can take to save energy, save money on energy bills, and help fight global warming at the same time.

Will you join me by taking the pledge to change at least one regular light bulb to an Energy Star qualified one?  This is part of a nationwide effort by the Environmental Protection Agency to help "change the world," one light - one energy-saving step - at a time. Yes this campaign is an example of our tax dollars actually going to a good cause.

The users of ActiveRain are in a position to encourage great amounts of people to change lights in their home.  Will you post a link to this on your website, or blog?  Will you let your clients and referral partners know about this important campaign in your communications in the coming weeks?  Looking for an interesting closing gift?  How about giving your clients a package of compact fluorescent bulbs?  At Costco today, a package of 8 bulbs was just $3.99.  Want an interesting way to get your customers to call, offer to give them a free bulb just for stopping by your office.  That's a conversation for just $.50.

Take the pledge here.   Once you take the pledge, please let us know how many bulbs you will replace in your comments!

I will join you also Jon. Sometimes the lights seem to play tricks on my eyes until either they warm up and get brighter or my eyes adjust, I'm still not sure which one it is, but the thought of conservation gets me on board regardless.

Great post.   I will get some tomorrow.   Small things can create large results, doing nothing creates Nothing.  just like Following a plan creates results.   Without a plan nothing happens and if you do not follow your plan, nothing happens.

Sam and Tim, One bulb at a time, will it solve all of the worlds energy and environmental issues?  No, but it is an easy step we can each take in the right direction.

Thanks for helping out.
