They needed to have done that on Cowboy Stadium.  The snow & ice started sliding down the dome roof and cascaded below to hit 6 NFL workers below sending all to the hospital and one with serious injuries (the roof height is about 30 stories high from the ground).  Big news here as the Dallas area has tried to put on a first class show and it keeps getting overshadowed by the weather misfortune.

Kristin,

Although I grew up in "snow country" to some degree (Michigan, Pennsylvania), I've never heard of roof rakes.  Is that a "for real" thing?  Or necessity being the mother of invention?

Here in Scottsdale we've been brutalized by extreme weather as well.  It went to 24 degrees Thurs. AM.  Fortunately we're back to normal and I need to go rake a roof full of 70 degree sunshine before any damage occurs.

Man, that looks like fun.  Playing in the snow, not raking the roof.  We think we're lucky if we get one good snow to play in each year.  This year we've had more than I enjoy.

A little roof racking? It looks like a lot of roof racking to me.

Good luck and success.

Never heard of roof raking, but it makes sense.  Keeps the roof from caving in.

Kristin,

The roofs around here have been caving in in certain areas due to the heavy weight from the ice and snow.  Hard to clear the ice, though.

Hi Kristin - Will this winter ever end?  Roof rakes were only just discovered by Connecticut this year.  I don't ever want to see one again!
