Step 3.   Have you home “open house ready” the day before and the day of your open house.  Getting your home ready the day before will make it less stressful the day of the open house giving you time to double check things the day of the open house and get them corrected early.  Then go out and enjoy the time with the family maybe take in a movie.

 

Step 4.   Once your home is on the market make sure it is “showing ready” every day before leaving for work. This will also help reduce stress while you are away.  You will need to be ready for the showing interruption in what used to be your normal routine.

Don - excellent tips, especially the reminder that the sellers will get a great deal on their next home. Keep the house "open house" ready all the time. A lot of work, but worth it in the shorter sale cycle and higher price.
