What would you call it? frustration?

I am working with a friend for almost two years to find him a house. I gave up on him a couple of times due to his penny-pinching nature but his wife always pushed him to buy a house and I had no options but to keep looking for their dream house. Recently I found a newer and beautiful Victorian style colonial REO property for a price $100K less than they were looking for. The offered bank $20,000 below the asking price. Bank countered that with $5,000 over the offer. The Buyer refused to pay $5,000 and preferred to walk out of the deal.

You need to get a new client and never work with them again.

Muhammad,  So back to the drawing board you go.  I looked for 8 months with my son and his wife..... Last Friday, we closed on the PERFECT Home for them and their family.  So now they are painting and getting ready to move in!!!  Keep looking, or...... if they are just pulling you along..... you may need to let them go!  Best to you!

Sounds like they want to write offers not buyer houses.  Is he appeasing his wife by writing offers, sabatoging his own deal?

At times, friends don't become good clients. This is perhaps a perfect example of it.

You may want to have a heart-to-heart talk about the interest in buying and real market value of the home.

It is definitely frustrating when other people don't see that our time is just as valuable as theirs.

Fellow Realtors, I greatly appreciate your feedback. This really give me a boost to cut my ties with this friend at least. I am not going to look back at my two years that I wasted with them. Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Susan, you are absolutely right. This fellow is only pleasing his wife and only on her face. Many times, when they wrote an offer (both him and his wife) the very next day, I would receive a call from him (since wife was not there) making an excuse to walk out. He has many people to advise him. In fact he can't take his decision.
