A question that I hear often is are Massachusetts property taxes higher or lower than New Hampshire property taxes? This is my market, too; southern NH and northern MA. It was interesting to see the low tax rates in Reading, where I'm originally from as compared to Salem, NH where I live now. Also, I was surprised at the difference in residential vs. commercial tax rates in MA, some of them, like Amesbury are astronomical where as NH towns and cities seem to all share the same tax rate for residential as well as commercial properties.
Good post, hopefully loan officers and processors will find it useful when calculating a proposed PITI. I know I would.
