I've been a little absent this week. Maybe with the AR errors you haven't really noticed. But I've been away because I've been sad. Our community lost a great man this week. He was a husband, a father, a friend and a fellow real estate broker.
I want to share a little story about me and Bill... Bill had been in the resl estate business since the late 70s, and I took a seat next to him when I went to my first MLS stockholders meeting in the mid 90s. I was a 29 year old single home who had been the secretary six months earlier at the firm I know owned. Some of the "old school" brokers in the room didn't even both to laugh behind my back at the thoughts of my "impending failure" Bill reached over and patted me on the hand and said, "you'll be fine, don't worry about them." Right from the start Bill showed me repect and was always encouraging. I'm gonna miss him so much.
Of course in small rural area the connections between people go so much deeper. My aunt and his wife are the same age and good friends. My daugther went to her Jr. Prom with his youngest son and have remained good friends. My daughter has been so close to Zak for a so long now that I think of them as part of our extended family. We'd sometimes eat at the same place after church services on Sunday and it was nothing for me to invite myself to their table to chat before or after we'd eaten lunch.
I'd like to share just a little more about Bill Craig, so please read.
Please pray for his family and our community.
