I liked his explanation of 'The Great Communicator' - "I wasn't a great communicator, but I communicated great things, and they didn't spring full bloom from my brow, they came from the heart of a great nation."

John - I am going to get positive and some negative flow but since I am minutes from the library it seemed appropriate I would get the word out. I am glad it was positive from you.

Thanks for stopping by.

Ken - While I'm not a fan of the man and definitely didn't ever vote for him, I will say on thing about him - he does have a really nice library.  As a fellow resident of "Reagansville", I have been to the library on several occasions and it's just an incredible place.  I love the auditorium where Air Force One is and have been to several parties there.  Just fantastic place for an event.  This weekend will probably prove to be a little bit of a traffic inconvenience (remember his funeral?).  Anyway, it's a nice place to visit and the events this weekend will probably be a really nice event.

Donne - Yes I do remember his funeral. Lots and lots of people and cars.

As I drove down today and looked up where it is the cars are going up the hill to the library and parking on Presidential Drive and then walking or getting bussed up. It will be a packed event all weekend.

I think I will stop by Monday for some cake.

Ken what a great post and a nice tribute to one of the greatest Presidents this country had. I have been to the library about three or four times. Once with my parents, my dad was a great fan of his and one time I was there for a book signing by Nancy Reagan...BTW how was the cake?

Endre -  I really wanted to make it but business came up and stood in the way. I didn't need the calories anyway. So, I am glad to see that you stopped by. I appreciate it.

Norma - I know if you came up you would have a wonderful day. It can take a big day to go through the entire library, museum and eat lunch.

I didn't realize that his library was in your neck of the woods!  I am sure the flyover was amazing!

Renee - It was amazing. I never made it there but there were four beauty F-18's that made it. But when I heard of how much it cost the taxpayers for the flyover at the superbowl, I have to wonder what it cost for this. As much as it was nice to see and I am sure for the people in the library looking out it was A M A Z I N G.

Thank you for stopping by.

I think that’s the only Presidential Library that I have not been to. I think after voting for Reagan twice and then being so disappointed in his two terms really turned me off. I’m sure I’ll get there eventually, though.
