It is rather lonely the past couple of days in the Leffler household!
My rather loud and obnoxious and very neurotic kitty is missing.
Cleo and I have been together for over 11 years...I got to keep her in my divorce 6 years ago....
She is one of 3 kittens we had originally adopted from the Nampa Pet Haven. One kitty, Polly, ran away after the first year...I think another family found her and she was ready to be an only kitty diva in her new household.
Mickey, the little boy kitty, died about 5 years ago from male kitty urinary tract problems.
This left the true diva....Cleopatra--Queen of Denial...mostly known as Cleo.. to be an only kitty!
She was a pretty shy kitty...only warming up to me....and some females who came to visit. She was pretty good with my Mom and Dad as they have spent a lot of time over at my house...and they come to visit her when I am out visiting my out of state hubby! She also will tolerate my neighbors as they are the ones who take care of her when I am gone!
Cleo has the loudest meow you have ever heard! I swear when she is bawling me out...you would think I was swinging her by her tail. LOL
I went to let her in from the garage yesterday morning (she has to sleep there because whenever I let her inside she likes to sleep right on my face.....and she leaves me "presents" on my bed! uuggghhh) She wasn't out in the garage.
I further investigated and the man door in the garage was open about 6 inches...enough for a kitty to get out....luckily there were many boxes in front of the door which kept out people! I don't know if some one was trying to break in or what....I am not even sure how long the door was open.
But thinking back to last week when Cleo was in the back yard when I got home from work one day...it was most likely open for at least a week. Since it is in the back of a room off of the 3rd bay of the garage, it is an area that isn't used often....so I didn't know it was open!
I have yelled and hollered for my fur baby but so far she hasn't came home....my neighbors all know she ran away from home...so hopefully some one will find her!
Please keep poor blue eyed beauty Cleo in your thoughts and prayers, if you would!!!

I am so sorry you are going through this...I HATE that feeling. I have a cat who has escaped twice in 10 years and I lost a few nights sleep over it. I hope your fur baby returns soon! (Our neighbors dog keeps running away from their home to ours...4 times in the past 7 days...each day I grab the dog and return it - I hope someone does the same for you!)
Hi Deborah, I hope that Cleo will make her was back home to you very soon! Very pretty kitty!
Deborah I'm so sorry to hear that Cleo is missing. Hoping you find her really soon!
Hopefully, by the time you see this comment Cleo will be back home. I know she's your good friend and companion.
I am so sorry! I hope by now Cleo is back home with you. My thoughts and prayers!
Thanks everyone.....I hope when I get home from my Open House in a few hours that she will be yowling as loud as she can on the back patio!!!! YOu know how our Furbabies mean so much!
Deborah, I hope she's back home safe and sound soon, she's beautiful and yes the fur babies are priceless beyond words!
If she's not there, don't forget to check the animal shelter!
Diane...they sure are....she still is missing...I don't think there could ever be another like her!
Erby! Thanks so much!....she still isn't here so I will be calling the Pet Haven on Monday!
Keep us posted, Deborah. I have a dog who runs away on a regular basis and I know how upsetting that is.
11 years is a long time. You sure do get used to having them around. I hope the shelter has her.
Thanks so much Jill...I just finished a post that she returned home very early this morning! Now she is purring away and sleeping right next to me! It must have been quite an adventure...she is exhausted!
That is wonderful! I know how I feel when I can't find my furrbabies!
