This is a follow up to a previous post I wrote regarding Homebuyer Education. As I stated before I strongly believe that these courses should be mandatory for all First Time Home Buyers and also think there should be some type of refresher course for buyers with credit issues. A couple of weeks ago I had a client take the course online. I asked her to give me a testimonial regarding the course so that everyone could see the impact it had on her.
- ..."At first when I reviewed the educational material I became so overwhelmed because the information was very intimidating especially how it kept reiterating that purchasing a home is a huge financial debt and long term commitment. As I continued through the material, I became more proactive because the information opened my eyes on homeownership like types of loans, purchasing process, building equity, and annual maintenance. I found the material so valuable and have been using it as a checklist for my very own home purchase. I definately recommend everyone to embrace this material because it is touches on every critical facet of a person's life including emotional and financial. Thanks so much..." E.J.C.
I think this goes to show that these Homebuyer Education courses are not just fluff! You can find these courses at United Guaranty and RMIC.
