Usually when we go to Ireland, we make our home base in Killarney (County Kerry) which is in the southwest part of the country. A little ways south of Killarney on what is known as the "Ring of Kerry" is the town of Kenmare. From there a very scenicKenmare Bay extends out into the Atlantic Ocean on the west. From Kenmare you can book a day trip on a small sightseeing boat where you go out into the bay enjoying the picturesque hills and wildlife all around. The seals were our favorite. Irish weather is sun and showers but yields beautiful rainbows. In the shot above you can see the mix of sun and shadow on the hills. The houses up there on the hill have a beautiful scene to look down upon every day.
I am calling this series Shutter Story Sundays (that link will show you my previous posts). I have been pulling out of my photo archive to share both old and new shots on Sundays. They aren't strictly "Speechless Sundays", but I'm hoping that group won't mind ;) and I'll also post to the photo blogger group. Each photo will have a very short narrative and then I'll let the photo tell the remaining 1000 words of the story. hope you enjoy! craig
