Are You Ready For Some Football?
I am sure that you are, and you have your favorite team. There will be a lot of folks sitting in their man-cave while others are either in their family room or living room. Who knows you may even be outside in a tent(?) if you are in a warm climate.
Every year this game is surrounded by pomp and ceremonies which all lead up to this very day, Super Bowl Sunday. Today’s opening ceremonies will include the introduction of past players of games gone by, celebrities that will sing something, the coin toss, the throwing out of the first pitch (oops I’m sorry that’s baseball) and the singing of the National Anthem. The National Anthem will be sung using the singers rendition and some of them have been really good and then others, hmmmmm I will leave it up to you. Check out the one below and let me know what you think. You may even remember it. Tears are allowed, well for a brief second just don’t let the wife see the tears though, tough guy…..
Now for a little bit of Super Bowl Trivia:
1. The first Super Bowl was played on January 15, 1967 and was called “First World Championship Game AFL vs. NFL”
2. The Green Bay Packers have played in four (4) Super Bowls and won three (3) of them. Will today be win number four (4)?
3. The Pittsburg Steelers have played in seven (7) Super Bowls and won six (6) of them. Will today be win number seven (7)?
I don’t know who will win today’s Super Bowl and walk away with all the marbles but, I am sure it will be a good game. I hope that you and those you’ve invited over to witness this event with you all have a GREAT time and may your team be the victor.
Go Steelers!!!!!!
