How Do You Qualify for Debt Settlement?
This is a great question one that I get often. It’s important to note that not everyone qualifies for a debt restructuring program.
To qualify for debt settlement:
1. You have suffered a Financial Hardship. Financial Hardships include things like reduced income, loss of income, increased expenses, medical expenses, disability. These are just some examples and is not meant to be an all inclusive list.
2. You are struggling to make minimum payments on the unsecured debt.

- Are you making minimum payments but having to use the cards to buy groceries or other basic living expenses?
- Are you cashing in your IRA or 401 K to pay interest on your credit cards?
- Are you borrowing money from family or friends in order to make the minimum payments?
3. You are committed to avoid bankruptcy.
4. You have income and are able to make a payment that is less then the minimum payments that are now being paid.
5. You have a strong desire to get out of debt.
