Why Am I Singin' in the Rain Today?

Well, first of all let me just say that it is a wet, gray & gloomy day here on the Crystal Coast!  But I am still smiling and I am still Singin' in the Rain.  First thing this morning, I logged in to ActiveRain, and found that Michael Thornton has just posted one of his inspirational blog posts.  It felt like the post was meant for me.  I have been struggling with a situation and his post gave me the motivation to stand up and tackle the problem...I did just that, and it felt great.  I won't bore you with details, but a BIG Thank You to Michael Thornton!

Then, I checked the mailbox at my office to find a signed listing contract.  This guy called my office a couple of weeks ago to speak with someone about selling his property in Newport, NC.  When I asked why he called us (a question I always ask), he said, "Well, I google Newport, NC and found your blog".  WooHoo....It's working!  This is my second listing directly linked to my blog here on Activerain. 

This afternoon, As I was driving home in the rain, I was thinking about Michael's post and how it had inspired me to do something I had put off for too long. I remembered another post he wrote a few weeks ago about reaching out and calling someone from Activerain.  I chose Ellen Caruso and dialed her number...Bummer, voice mail!  No worries tho'...She called me back just a few minutes later and we chatted a bit about how much we love Activerain and the relationships we've built.  I know more about Ellen than friends who live a block away because she is "Ellen" in her blog.  She is funny & creative and I look forward to our next phone conversation.  

It's just been a really good day today thanks to Activerain!  And to Michael Thornton!  And to Ellen Caruso!
