We've all read the blogs by various Activerainers encouraging us to read blogs outside of AR and comment. I started doing that a few months ago and found some WONDERFUL bogs in the blogosphere. Some didn't have anything to do with real estate, but they taught me that content is king. If you have great content and its written well and with wit....you'd be surprised how many readers you'll get.
I have made some great friendships with local people because of blog commenting. Today I decided I was going to seek out AR blogs and websites. So I went to people's profiles and clicked on their website link..if they had one. There are some great websites and weblogs out there AR members. You should be proud of yourselves!! It inspired me to start really pinpointing what it is I like.
Soon I will start making some changes to my websites and blogs. My daughter is teaching herself html and css right now, but soon. Very soon. :) Templates are ok, but there just isn't enough freedom in my opinion. What really surprised me were the amount of websites that didn't have a blog on them...which is fine, but why aren't you providing a link for consumers to check out your activerain blog?
There's great content on here. Don't be shy. I had so much fun leaving comments on my fellow AR's websites. Someof the websites were so content rich it was amazing. So many different looks and colors. Some great branding going on. This really inspired me and I'm going to try and do this every week. Happy blogging!
Pamela, you are so right. I actually found active rain because of some outside blogs. Jennifer Steck and Ginger Wilcox had two of the first two real estate blogs that I found. Reading theirs was very influential to my blogging and eventually led me here.
