What are your "Seven Wonders of the World"?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Clients' Choice Realty

A group of students were asked by their teacher to list what they thought were the present "Seven Wonders of the World."  Though there were a few disagreements, the following received the most votes:

-Egypt's Great Pyramids
-The Taj Mahal
-The Grand Canyon
-The Panama Canal
-The Empire State Building
-St. Peter's Basilica
-China's Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished and turned in her answers.  So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list.

The little girl replied, "Yes, a little.  I could not quite make up my mind because there are so many."  The teacher asked her to tell the class what she had and maybe they could help her with her thoughts.

The little girl hesitated, then read:

"I think the seven wonders of the world are:

-To See

-To Hear

-To Touch

-To Feel

-To Laugh

-To Speak

-And to Love"

The room was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop.

The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly wondrous!!  A gentle reminder from God:  The most precious things in life cannot be built by hand or bought by man.

It is amazing how we take those basics for granted until we lose one or many of them.

See It. Experience It. Live It.

Hi Trey,

I realize you posted this a while back, but it is a great one!  I've always wanted to make time to see the 7 Wonders of the World, but that little girl's comments were so true.

You live and work in a beautiful area.  I hope we will be seeing some more posts from you this upcoming year.  Happy New Year!  May God bless you in all that you do.

Although I've visited four of the student's seven wonders of the world, I'd have to agree with the  girl--those are some pretty wonderous gifts.

Truly wonderful post, Joyce.

Kids can have an amazing purity of thought that we seem to forget how to do as we mature - it should be the other way around.

I wish I could Re-Blog this one!
