California MLS Alliance

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 M&M

What dose that mean?

I am a member of the MLSAlliance. Basicly its a cross MLS search engine. It's a single source of MLS listing information from multiple MLS's for the Real Estate professionals only while still maintaining each indevidual MLS's independence.  H

MLSAlliance™ is set up as a gateway for accessing each participating MLS's listing data on a Parallel Servers, where detailed listing information and property reports reside. By using Parallel Servers at each MLS, the alliance allows agents from anywhere in the region to view listings from any of the participating MLS's.

I used to just belong to MetroList Services which the following boards:

Brian,

For an interesting read on the MLS consolidation read the Trends Report www.RETrends.com  A whole section was devoted to why MLS systems are consolidating and what that means to agents.

It is amazing how many areas are now in the MLS Alliance.  It is a great resource especially for areas that get listed in several different MLS's.

Brian - I have heard of this (in passing from agents in CA) and I am amazed that it is happening. Can an agent in Orange Co, know enough about a home in Napa? You know where I am going with this...

I guess we will soon have a nationwide MLS... I have to ponder this awhile...

Best regards from Charlottesville!

Brian, This is a good step. How much does it cost and do you have access to put listings on those other included MLSs or just your own?
