From now on, I'm not going to answer any more calls from a California number

Frustrated woman trying to get telemarketer off the phoneDear caller: If you have a California phone number, I will now let your call go through to my voicemail. But you won't leave a message, because you work for Zillow, or Trulia, or Google, or a website company, or a leads company, or a web-clicks company, or worse yet: Realtor.com!

I distinctly remember paying my dues recently to the NAR, the Texas Association of REALTORS, and the San Antonio and Central Texas Boards of REALTORS. I pay an extra fee to add more photos to my listings on Realtor.com. I also pay annual dues as a member of the Real Estate Buyers Agent Council and the Council of Residential Specialists. So why are you hounding me, Realtor.com, to pay even more money so I can compete with all the other members of the NAR?

And also, stop asking me if I am at my computer and if I have just a couple of minutes to go through your demo. I don't. I will tell you I don't. And then you'll keep on asking questions anyway to try to make me feel like a moron for missing out on this great deal!

So don't call me; I'll call you.

Are you holding your breath?

There is one telemarketer that calls me so often I recognize the number when they call.  That's pretty bad!

Ha!  This is a great blog.  I am right there with you!  I keep getting stalked by a CA number for some website I can't remember.  They will call me like 4x in a row with no message.  Now I will never answer.

it is amazing how many of these sales calls we are getting lately: probably and indication of how many people are not buying their products. Love the photo and your by-line "Also Cat Owner, Smartass, Aspiring Drummer but with no time to practice".

Robin - I empathize with your frustration on this. Get the calls from California and Oregon. However, since I have friends and family in both places, I answer.

Everyday I receive the same calls from the same telephone numbers. What do they not understand about the word NO and TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST. It always seems to happen when I'm in an attic or right in the middle of an inspection. I think God put them on this earth just to antagonize us. My rant to go along with your rant.

Have a good Thursday Robin.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one on the call list! I have about a dozen phone numbers already saved on my cell phone under "NO." But as they hire new telemarketing companies, the numbers change. So I'm going to play it safe. If it's a call from one of my California clients, they will most likely leave me a voicemail message.

I added a Google Voice line to my cell phone, and even though No one knows the number (I've never given it out or put in online!), I get calls daily from "Unknown". It's driving me nuts.
