OK I can't be selfish any longer.  I am ready to finally share. My husband Mark and I call this "Our best kept secret"  because it is a wonderful night out without the crowds. It is.....here goes....Miramonte Winery  on Friday and Saturday nights.  Not only do they have great wine and friendly service but the entertainment is wonderful and FREE!  Yup, you read right...FREE.  Great Live music.  The best part is that the venue is small and very cozy.  I couldn't have "staged" it any better.  OK, maybe I have a few ideas!  :)

There is a different band every week.  Some are regular's and come back once or twice a month.

"Flamenco Fridays" is great.  Lot's of energy and dancing to get your weekend started.  Oh and did I mention they also offer Sangria and Empanadas. Yummy!

"Blues Jam" nights on Saturday.  A great relaxing way to enjoy fine wine in a relaxing laid back environment.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit Wine Country Temecula,CA make sure to stop by Miramonte Winery.  I promise you won't be disappointed! You know where I will be this weekend!  Hanging out with Mira the winery dog!

I'm going to have to plan a little drive one of these weekends.  Thanks for sharing.

That sounds fun, but the drive would be tuff.

Mario-  Your welcome.  You should make the drive. I currently belong to 4 of the wineries and would be happy to show you around.

Vicki - It is a lot of fun.  Yes, the drive would be "tuff."  We are midway between San Diego and LA so if you ever get out here call me and I will show around!

Janice, how fun?  We have nothing like that here in Florida.  Maybe some orange grower will open a nice little place where we can go and have entertainment and free orange juice!  Mira the dog looks like she's had just a little too much wine!

Things like that in CT are few and far between, but that is awesome!  I actually used a winery tour as a networking event for some of my business partners...everyone was very chatty at the end of the night!

The dog looks so sad, I am glad you are making time to enjoy with your hubby. Sounds like you all have a funtime together.

Terry - You are too funny...free orange juice!!  Yes Mira is quit mellow isn't she.  She is a wonderful gentle giant.

Andrew - My mother lives in CT and I have visited a few good wineries there years ago.  Yes, wine and networking can be fun...if you can remember what happened the next day!  I always offer to bring wine to Open Houses that I stage.  My secret weapon. :)

Diane - I remember her as a young pup!  Oh I feel old now!

Phyllis - My husband and I have been doing Friday or Saturday "date nights" for about 10 years now.  Tomorrow is our 18 year wedding anniversary.  I guess we are doing something right!

Carole - Thank you. I am a winery lover.  I call them a little slice of heaven.  I have heard the wineries on Long Island are great.  I will have to make a trip out there the next time I am back.

Janice, what a great way to spend your weekends.  I may have to scout the internet to see if they have anything like that around here.  Probably not in Alberta - but British Columbia isn't too far away for a weekend.  Thanks for posting.  Betty

Betty - Your welcome.  I love to stop and smell the "wine!"  Since both my husband and I are wine lover's (although sometimes he has a beer there) we always agree on where to go for "date" night.

I don't think I'm going to make it out there anytime soon, so at least your secret is safe with me, but the place sounds great. I have to drive quite a distance to find a really good winery! Take care and I promise I won't tell anyone!

We use to come to Temecula regularly when we lived in SD. We had friends there but they never told us about this exciting place, it's the type of place we love. This brought back memories, thanks for the cool post.

Jeffrey - Thanks for commenting and keeping the secret!

Chris & Maria- Your welcome.  Maybe your friends are like me and they wanted to keep it a secret. Glad I could bring back some fond memories.  Stay tuned for more to come! :)

Graham - It truly is perfect.  In the summer time you can even enjoy a glass of wine while listening to the band and watching the sunset.  You aren't too far away.  Come and stay for the weekend.  We could show you some of our other favorite wine places.

Good day from Kansas City Janice,

Would you mind helping me out....since I am still a newbie compared to the AR milestones that you have surpassed(over 25,000 points)!! I do not know how to find out who the key "investor" friendly agents are in the LA- Santa Monica area. Even though AR is easy to search on, I thought that I would ask a pro like you, that has local knowledge and expertise of the area.

Thanks Janice,

Ty - Wow thanks for all the AR compliments.  :)  If you are looking for Santa Monica/LA REA's I would suggest using the "search" feature at the top of the page and enter "Santa Monica" etc...

Good luck and welcome to AR.  It is a great place to be!
