This Week's Deal in Hondo, TX Real Estate - 2/9/2011

This week, February 7-11, 2011, in Hondo, Texas, there are over 30 Residential Listings ranging in price from $48,000 - $389,900.  Homes available include single-family detached as well as manufactured homes.  There are also several Farm & Ranch listings varying in size from 29 acres - 791 acres.

There are still several properties with price reductions in Hondo.  According to the San Antonio Board of Realtors (SABOR) Multiple Listing Service (MLS) there are two (2) homes currently under Active Option, one (1) home pending sale, and one (1) home sold in the past month.  However, there are some Real Estate brokers that do not participate in MLS and, therefore, do not report data.  As a result, there are numerous deals available in Hondo, TX Real Estate.

Rolling Hills Ranch

Rolling Hills Ranch Estates is a small restricted-acreage subdivision located just 10 minutes North of Hondo on Highway 173.  This subdivision offers beautiful Hill Country lots ranging in size from 2-5 acres, with Electricity and Water already on-site.  2 acre lots are available starting at $19,000.

Rolling Hills Ranch Estates allows for site-built or manufactured homes.  Manufacture home restrictions require that the home be at least a double-wide, 1200sf or larger, fully finished out and meeting FHA guidelines.

Do they still have the sign "This is God's country please do not drive thru it like Hell"?? I lived in Del Rio, Texas for three years and we would pass thru on our way to San Antonio. Lovely country!

The great part is when you're home you are away from the big city. When you need to work it is a short commute to San Antonio.

Doug - yes, they do still have the sign, but it's been down for a few months due to construction on Hwy 90... they will probably have it back up soon.

And yes, it's a GREAT deal and only 30 minutes to San Antonio (with typically no traffic on Hwy 90).  It's really a wonderful community.
