I don’t know about you but every time I think about Home Improvement, I’m sure my eyes show dollar signs to anyone looking at me. Projects always seem in the end to have been much more expensive than earlier anticipated at the very beginning of the upgrade process.
For example: My wife and I had a project about 5 years ago to upgrade one of our homes in Michigan. Interesting enough, we had budgeted for around 20,000 dollars. We ended up at 34,000 and some change. While we were thrilled with the final results, neither of us was too excited about the final cost of everything we accomplished.
Recently, I came across a very interesting article: Home Improvement: 10 Cheap Upgrades. At first I thought this sounded too good to be true but then as I read and re-read the writing, it seems to me that there is a lot of usable stuff here. I hope you enjoy!
By the way, when you consider doing Home Improvement projects, don’t overdo on the upgrades. You might be seriously disappointed when you go to sell your home at a later date when you find you can’t recover your cost.
