We're continually discussing online marketing and all of its advantages, but we rarely reference print advertising.  When I refer to print advertising, it's not necessarily newspaper ads or homes magazine advertising.  I am a promoter of a printed item called the "personal brochure."

I just did a post about resumes, and the personal brochure is nothing more than a brief, bird's eye view of your real estate achievements described in a professionally printed marketing booklet.  It's a great way to market yourself to those who may not be computer literate; or to sellers who have an expired listing and you need to act quickly; or to fsbo's who need to know what you do for marketing that they are not capable of doing.  The personal brochure is a way to introduce "YOU."

The way an agent markets himself/herself is a reflection of how that agent will market a home.  If you are asking for the opportunity to make a listing presentation, you should be prepared with a marketing material that will impress them.  This marketing piece should make them want to see and hear more about what you do that will assist them in the sale of their home.

The Kuney-Todaro Team has a personal brochure for resale home owners and another one for builders.  We have used the new construction brochure to market ourselves to banks for their failed subdivisions, and we have one contract signed for subdivision #5 in Franklin.  We also use it as part of our listing package when making a presentation to a builder to market his subdivision.  Marketing to a builder and marketing to a homeowner are two very different scenarios.

There is still a need for print advertising.  Producing a sample of your marketing brochure is a powerful way to introduce yourself as a marketing agentDo it right, and it will work for you!!!

Just finished a "rack card" for my new business, and to introduce my new brand: "MOJAVE STYLE"! Printed 2 sided "brochure" to leave with Realtors, to "hand-off" to their clients needing my services. I used Vistaprint and did it myself.... it was time consuming, but I enjoyed the graphic art design side of it.  Should be here in a few days...... printed marketing tool...

I have a personal brochure and have used it for years.  It is a great way to represent yourself either as an introductory piece or something to leave behind.

Hi Barbara, I have a personal brochure. I send it when I mail letters to expireds. I got 4 expired listings in the last 2 months. I was hired on the spot with all 4. It works for me.

I have never taken the time to do a brochure like that, but I should take the time and just do it already.  Would be great to have handy.  Says a lot more than a business card ever could.
