When it comes to blogging, I usually listen to Jazz. Jane Monheit, Dianna Krall, and Madeleine Peyroux are all favorites. I also like Amy Winehouse, although it's not really jazz. I don't know what it is. I also listen to the Dave Mathews band quite a bit while I'm on the computer.

Tonight, I had to get a bunch done, and needed a little more motivation. So it was The Ataris, Jay-Z & Linkin Park, Helmut, Korn, Social Distortion, Ministry, and The Crystal Method. I have my Sennheser Headphones on, and the volume was at eleven. That's right, my amp goes to eleven.

Now I'm just relaxing to some 10 Foot Ganja Plant, and thought it fun to learn about the listening habits of other bloggers.

So, what do you listen to while you are blogging?

What a luxury to listen to music while blogging!

I typically listen to my kids talking, the TV chattering, the dogs barking, the cats meowing- the general chaos of a big family in a small house. Our computers are right in the middle of it all, and the rule must be- if someone can see you, then you are fair game for a conversation. One of my kids is home schooling, so someone is always around.

However, if I go to the office where it's quiet? I often get less done. A paradox.

Back to your question- I don't listen to music, I listen to the sounds of my life.

And I, a wee bit jealous of the sounds of your life Teri!  Somedays I miss those times.

I understand exactly what you are saying, and I know the day is fast approaching when I too, will miss it. My babies are close to graduating... sigh.

LOL Teri! The WTO is on my Ipod. That's another beauty to listen to at eleven.

If you liked that one, you'll love this one.

Amy Winehouse is great to listen to at work. I listen to her every day. Although I do feel a bit guilty that my almost 10 year old daughter knows the words to Rehab... but then she also sings Fergilicious. Don't think I get the mother of the year award for that one either! lol For cooking, or cleaning, so I can bounce around, my new favorite is Gogol Bordello. LOVE them. Also, always, Nina Hagen. Just depends on the mood... I have a somewhat eclectic music collection. Great post!

I hope you don't blow out your ear drums.  I enjoy jazz but at a mellow level.  I like to hear the flavors come alive and not be drowned out by the volume.
