The Cirque du Soleil Is Coming To Cincinnati!! Ovo April 21 - May 15 2011 At Coney Island

Another short drive from Warren County and you can experience something that should be on everyone's "bucket list"! The Cirque du Soleil is coming to Cincinnati!

You've got to see at least ONE show in your lifetime, and chances are if you see one you just might be hooked! This is a Circus unlike anything else you've ever seen!

We saw a performance of "O" at the Bellagio in Vegas a few years ago. Yes, the tickets were NOT cheap, and yet still a bargain. Amazing acrobats and performers, simply breathtaking to behold and a lifetime memory not to be forgotten!

So our take, although there may be differences from one show to the next, and some fans more so for one show than another, you REALLY can't go wrong. So raid the kid's piggy bank if you have to, but make it to one of these shows!

Now in the near term, you can skip a trip to Vegas and catch them down at Coney Island off Route 52 from April 21 to May 15. Cirque du Soleil will be performing "Ovo" under the Big Top! The theme for this one is insect based, so you can expect some wild costumes! (see the video for samples)

And even better, if you by tickets now, there are some specials going on. One is an Ovo Valentine's Day Special, Buy 1 get 2nd 1/2 off on select Level 1, 2 or 3 seats. Glenn, For me, with O being so water based, just amazing the mechanics of how they worked the stage, the water would have divers from high up one moment, then someone else running across the surface of the water moments later! Spectacular!

Sounds like a great event Bill. Unfortunately, not everyone can travel to Vegas, so it is a great oppurtunity for those folks to enjoy some entertainment in their hometown.

Scott, Looking at the video, they're not losing much in the mobile versions of the shows. Well worth the admission price, but obviously discount tickets are even better :)

Jane, What they do has to be physically demanding, any idea what the length of a typical Cirque performer career is?

Joni, If you get the chance, don't pass it up.

Paul, We wanted to go see one our first trip to Vegas but didn't make it. The next time, Liz's parents were with us and we sprang for the tickets for all of us and didn't regret it a bit. Just amazing :)

Anita, It really is unlike any regular circus. These folks are easily the best at what they do.

Roger, I wouldn't mind seeing more of these shows :)

CA, That might be a hike for show. If you check out Cirque's website, they have approximately 22 shows either stationed or touring worldwide. That's a lot of performances, although not sure where the nearest show to you would stop.

Al & Peggy, They truly find the best to put on these shows. Some of what they do just amazes me that it's even humanly possible!

Leesa, They've got like 22 differently themed shows throughout the world. As you can see by the video, it's some amazingly performed! If you ever get a chance, take it!
