People have been asking me what the clearing off of Waugh Chapel Road in Odenton, Md. near Chapel Grove is being done for. The area that is being cleared is actually Chapel Grove Phase 7.
Winchester wanted to finish and get out of the community a few years ago when the market took a down turn. They decided that they did not want to develop the last phase of the community and instead sold the land. There is only going to be one cul-de-sac there with 7 building lots. All of the lots will be approximately 1/4 acre and they will all back to woods.
As of this post, I am not aware of what builder will actually be building the homes on the lots when they are complete. Rumor has it that it will in all likelihood be a national builder who will build homes that should sell in the $600,000-$700,000 range. These homes should not have any age restrictions on them.
