Motorcycle Riding in the Mountains of Franklin, NC Blue Ridge Parkway & Great Smoky Mountain National Park!
Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountain National Park still the most visited.
One of the many reasons I love living in Franklin, NC is the awesome Highways and the back roads for riding motorcycles. I happen to ride a Harley but any kind of motorcycle enthusiast loves riding their bike's up here on the Great Smoky Mountains Parkway and Blue Ridge Parkway of NC.
Small creeks & waterfalls abound throughout the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and its a short drive for me in Franklin, NC. You never get bored of riding through it. Every time we ride I am still in awe of the mountains.
A few places I would not want you to miss should you come for a visit is Newfound Gap overlook on the North Carolina side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Stop for a picnic at Chimneys picnic area whatever the weather in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Little Pigeon River in Chimneys picnic area in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The observation tower on top of Clingmans Dome in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a MUST NOT MISS!
Here is a short video of a ride we went on the Blue Ridge Parkway and ended up in Cherokee, NC for a free concert to see Foreigner. Carol and I got to be at the front of the stage to watch the concert.

Looks like so much fun. My friend is the owner of BritishMotorcycleGear. The sell jackets and motorcycle stuff. I haven't got my bike yet but I'm looking forward to the day.
Hi June, I was born in Asheville, NC and moved to So California many years ago but every year, at the beginning of fall, I remember driving along the Blue Ridge pkwy and miss the changing of the seasons.
Love, love, love your video,, June! Jon wants to take the bike and go up to the mountains really bad - we might just have to call you and come say hi this summer!
June, Your slide show is great! The mountains of the Carolinas are so gorgeous. I've driven many of those roads around Franklin and the Blue Ridge Parkway over the years. But, I can't imagine taking them on a motorcycle. That must be an incredible journey! . Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
