"Big Climb" Cancer Research Fundraiser Seattle, WA

 Columbia Center

Have you ever wanted to be part of something positive that might change the world? I know I have. That is why I decided to create a team for this year’s “Big Climb”, a fundraiser for cancer research.

What is it you ask? It is a big climb up the stairwell of the Columbia Center building in downtown Seattle, WA. It is 69 flights, 1,311 steps and 788 feet of vertical elevation. This big climb comes to an end on the 73rd floor observatory. You can either choose to be a racer (timed) or a climber (untimed). Whether you are a racer or climber, the climb takes place at the same time but in two different stairwells with the same finish line.

The purpose of the “Big Climb” is to raise money for cancer research to help find a cure for leukemia, Hodgkin’s disease, myeloma and lymphoma. In order to improve the lives of patients and their families donations received through the Big Climb will go to cancer research, patient aid and more.

Just about everyone has known someone who has battled some form of cancer at one time or another. The “Big Climb” is my way of helping find a cure and to help make these patients and their families feel as comfortable as possible during this difficult time of their life.

If you would like to help by joining our team “Flights For Their Fights” or by sponsoring our efforts at our site.

Step by step we can “stomp” out cancer.
