14 Comments on Mt Vernon, Washington:Tulip Capitol of the Northwest
i was lucky enough to find myself here, accidentally, and it is so beautiful...if anyone is within driving distance, my advice is: GO!
Li - The tulip fields on the right day are truly amazing. What a lucky happenstance.
Glenn, years back on a trip to Australia, we vivited a town in the mountains around Melbourne and the whole town raised Tulips, there 100's of acres of them everywhere, I went crazy with teh camera
Glenn - Good luck with class and the designation. Enjoy the tulips!
Gl himenn,
Where's the camera when you need one? I hope you go back and get some great pics for us.
Rich
Gerry - I can imagine.
Nevin - It',s ngoing well.
Rich - I took a picture but AR upload is denying me.
Glenn ~ So you're being doubly blessed -- new designation and great scenes to drink in; way to go.
Tish - Pretty gray here today. Tulips in April. Class was excellent. I'm able to work with my own kind now.
Oh what a site it is Glenn, as far as the eye can see in some cases. WOW!
Paul - You've seen, you believe!
Love the Skagit Valley during Tulip time... I missed it last year. One of my favorite drives up to Mt Vernon than over to Anacortes down Whidbey Island and the Ferry back to Mukilteo... I got a new Flip HD. I'm hoping to get some video riding a long the tulip fields this year.
René - Walking in an area where different colors collide would be an awesome video pan. I expect to be there too.
That is one long stem tulip. Anyone wearing wooden shoes at that class? How big a deal, time, money for the desgination Glenn?
Andy - It was a two day 13 clock hour class and sponsored by NAR so probably available near you. Like all classes, the quality of the instructor is paramount, and we had a good one. I think the class was $169, and once the official designation arrives there will be a yearly fee. It's my first designation, so I don't know how those things work, yet.
