NOW is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their Country...!!!
My last two posts have dealt with PROPERLY FORMING CONSCIENCES...
More specifically, I tried to focus on the CORPORATE LIABILITY or CORPORATE WRONGDOING that exists today in our Country because of politics gone astray...!!!
By ‘corporate', I do not mean relating exclusively to corporations, but rather the COLLECTIVE nature of wrongdoing or sin in SOCIETY, GOVERNMENT, CORPORATIONS, GROUPS, and the like...
Because we live in a democratic republic, we are not exempt from the guilt borne upon our nation because of the injustice of its laws...
We look back on history and we can see similar instances, as in the cases of SLAVERY and WOMEN SUFFRAGE, and SEGREGATION, that have incurred CORPORATE GUILT on us as a nation...each citizen bearing a certain culpability for those injustices...
Now, aside from the most obvious crime of today...ABORTION...there are plenty others abrewing which could heap additional coals of guilt upon us corporately as a nation...
Let me give you a FOR INSTANCE...
We sit around and watch gasoline prices, fuel oil prices, and food prices escalating disproportionately and rapidly, while the fat cats in the middle east lavishly gorge themselves (not their nations) with riches that come from the pockets of every American citizen...
We also sit upon the most plentiful reserves of oil and natural gas that exist upon the Earth...
And with technology and science promising that relatively soon we won't even rely on fossil fuels for our future energy needs...are we misusing and abusing our roles as STEWARDS...
We say we are a BLESSED COUNTRY...and that has been apparent to me and my family since my ancestors came here in the early 20th century...BUT...
Are we thankful to our Creator for the vastness of these ‘NATURAL' resources with which we have been blessed...
If so, we have a funny way of showing it...With fuel oil at $3.32 a gallon, there are plenty of seniors on fixed incomes feeling the crunch while their hard earned wealth is redistributed recklessly by politicos in Washington ...
My own parents would not have sat around and watched their children suffer while their own savings accounts and assets increased and their lifestyles became lavish...NO...they would have interceded with a loan, a handout, or some other helpful gesture, and sacrificed their own comforts out of love and concern for their children...
Well, there is plenty of suffering to go around in America...unemployment, those on fixed incomes, under employment, bankruptcy, foreclosures, rising food and health care costs, and the like...
Do I believe in CONSERVATION...???
You bet I do...we have a personal responsibility to care for and preserve the good things of this Earth, thus being capable custodians and worthy caretakers of our God given blessings...that is what STEWARDSHIP is all about...
But read no further than the first chapter of Genesis, the first book in the Bible, where...Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth...'God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth." 
Putting it crudely and almost blasphemously...God said do anything you wish, except don't touch that one puny little tree in the center of the garden...What more freedom could you ask for...
That ORIGINAL SIN of our first parents started a series of events whereby man's wrongdoing has really cost us...
We must examine ourselves, and use the blessings that God gave us...and those blessings include the oil and gas beneath our homes and nation...
Independence and freedom from the control of other nations can come if we do the diligent things...BUT...
REDISTRIBUTING WEALTH, by sending the vast wealth of Americans to Saudi oil mongers, and terrorist inspired nations, and entities other than our own brothers and sisters in our own country is carrying EVIL to extremes and certainly qualifies for CORPORATE WRONGDOING...!!!
AND is STEWARDSHIP gone astray...!!!
