Integrity is a word we here thrown around quite often. I use it in my own advertising, and I have always tried to live with integrity. But what does it reaaly mean.

 In the Bible Job had integrity. Satan tried to throw him off his integrity, he used Job's wife and his friends, but Job would rather die than compromise the integrity of his heart.

So what does God say about integrity.

PSALMS 25:21

Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for  I wait for you.

When we are in it for the long run integrity will preserve us during the tough times.

PSALMS 26:1

Vindicate me o Lord, for I have walked in my integrity. I have also trusted in the Lord; I will not slip.

When we walk in integrity God will vidicate us.

PSALMS 41:12

As for me, you uphold me in my integrity and set me before your face forever.

When we walk in integrity God smiles upon us.

PROVERBS 11:3

The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.

Integrity will guide us to do the right thing

PROVERBS 28 :6

Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than one perverse in his ways,though he be rich.

Money may come or go but your integrity stays with you forever.

 

Our God is a God of Honor and Integrity, when He promises something he always delivers. We should strive to be like him.Keep your integrity to the word of God and everything else will fall into place.

Hugh, I have to admit that I don't think I have commented before but I have read many of your posts. I just wanted to say keep it up. You are raising the bar and revisiting the moral compass that we all need.

Hugh:  Integrity is an important quality and as Realtors, even more so in the business we are in because the green eyed monster pops up a lot.  It's difficult to deal with those who let greed overtake them and temptations are around every corner.  Someone who truly understands and believes the scriptures you quoted will turn away from the temptation.  I find that my integrity is one of the main reasons I get referrals.  It's also my way to honor God and my family by establishing and keeping a good reputation, both personally and in business.

Integrity is that which you do when no one else is looking.  I often ask the question, what is the one character trait that only the man/woman can testify to?

Answer:  Integrity

You integrity should walk BEFORE you and BEHIND you nor in your SHADOW.  We need a bottle in our medicine cabinet of life at all times.
