Hearst Castle in California "Vegas Bob's first tour ...

I have driven by the gate of the "Hearst Castle" on Hwy 1 in California for over 35 years now and today was the first time I drove in through the gate of the "Hearst Castle". I can not believe in all these years I have never been inside the Castle.

The tour I went on today covered only the lower rooms & pools of the Castle, and I took some great photographs. I am going on another tour tomorrow that covers the upper rooms, bedrooms, kitchen and other rooms that weren't covered on the first tour.

That was one of my first  places I went to here in CA back in 1994. Went to a cousins graduation up in San Fran. and on the way back stopped at the Hearst Castle..... Amazed me that his mistress had her own section of the castle.

VB * I've been fortunate to have a private tour of the Hearst estate through newspaper contacts 20 years ago.  I actually have a poster of the hilltop with mist/clouds around it in my office - very beautiful!

Hello again Kristine and I used a "Wide Angle" lens in one camera and a regular lens in another today. The photos are breath-taking and I will slowly post them next week in parts because I have so many.
