Princeton – Cool Place To Eat.

I love to eat out and Princeton area offers plenty of choices. I was pleasantly surprised to find another interesting place – General’s Quarters at the Trenton Mercer airport. They call themselves “Ewing’s best kept secret”, and I have to agree -I really stumbled upon it in the airport by chance.

I was quite surprised to find the restaurant with a large dinning room, and another party room, overlooking the runway. The tables have enough space between, so it does not feel crowded like in other places, where you can overhear the person talking at the next table. We had a very pleasant dinner, while watching the planes take off. The service was nice and friendly. The staff even seemed to know the planes – when we saw one large plane taking off –they new the owner, and told us it was a private corporate jet.

On Sunday, October 7 they are offering brunch 10:30am-2pm, which seems like a fun thing to do with the kids.  You can visit “General’s Quarters” at www.generalsquarters.com

Well, I'm sure the kids would enjoy watching the planes and if the food is good then the adults will as well.

Good localism post.

That sounds like a cool place to bring kids to eat. We used to have an awesome place right on the runway at the West Palm Airport called the 391st bomber group. It had a WWII theme to it with old planes outside and inside it was all decorated in WWII era. You could put on headphones and listen to the air traffic control. It was so cool. It had to close down because the airport did not renew their lease, they needed the land for expansion. They ahs the most awesome Sunday Brunch ever!  Katerina
