The dates are as follows: The 2011 Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard try-outs are going on during the month of February at Corona del Mar High School. Sharon, I was an Ocean City Lifeguard way back when I could wear a speedo without the fear that if the Greenpeace people saw me they would want to get the beached whale back in the ocean.

Hi Tony and Darcy - the junior lifeguard try outs are held in a heated pool. But the air temp can be cool though. The ocean lifeguard tryouts are coming up next month, and they swim in the ocean, and it is cold. Water temp in the 50's . . . some do not wear wetsuits!
