18 Comments on I Needed a Touch of Spring, So I went out to find some!!
Good morning Ed,
I saw the snow picture first and loved it, then I scrolled down. I am intrigued with greenhouses. I could go spend an afternoon in one. I think it comes from my childhood. My mom would always take me to Nielsen's greenhouse in Ann Arbor and we would spend wonderful quality time there. Just strolling the isles, picking out plants. I think I may build my own in my yard this year. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Have a good Sunday.
Ya know Ed, as much as I look forward to Winter and it's peaceful blanket of fluffy white falling softly covering our area with quiet,... even I have HAD ENOUGH! I am craving color and I am loving the photo's of color you and so many others have been sharing. Thank you! I am getting the gardening itch again.
I second that... ENOUGH of winter! Bring on the spring! It looks like you found a great way to enjoy it early.
Our local Lowe's (#48) is LOADED and in my travels I am seeing local nurseries that have signs out they are opening EARLY * March 1st! YEAH!!!
Good job Ed and great idea for an interesting way to spend some time as the snow slowly melts. We are headed to a flower show this coming weekend at the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh. It will be wonderful to catch the riot of tropical smells!
Good morning, Ed.....I'll be in that line ready to buy anything and everything that has color......I can't wait to plant some annuals and new perennials.....
On yeah!! That was a great thought to catch Ed! Bet they sell out early this year, because you are not alone in your thoughts!!
Hey Ed....I think everyone in the Northeast has had it with winter...50's end of this coming week...I have my small place picked out to do some plantings (right where that giant snow pile is located).
Cindy, as I was driving by a small green house I caught a glimpse of color, and it was like a siren drawing me in. Thanks for stopping
Laura, like enough is enough.
Margaret, you'll get the colors a couple of weeks before we do, but for all of us, it can't be soon enough
Wallace, I haven't been to either a Lowe's or Home Depot as yet, but I'm sure they still have the big piles of salt and shovels prominately displayed.
Michael, you're right, my walls seem to be getting closer
Vance, take some photos to share, we need all the inspiration we can get to finish this winter
Barbara, so many of us with those same thoughts. Bring on the spring
Hey Guys, You people up there in balmy Canada, probably wondering what we're getting all excited about
Dennis, we had normal snow falls for a winter, unfortunately it all came in one month Bring on the flowers!
I'll bet you're getting a little tired of Winter by now Ed. And, I'll bet your golf game is even worse right about now!
Hi Ed, I would love to visit those green houses...acres of them. I bet they smell great and the colors...vibrant. You are definitely ready for spring...wishing it for you.
Ed that is not nice, now I looking forward to Spring even more. It can't come soon enough.
Yeah Ed! Your warm thoughts worked! I can see my patio for the first time since.....well,....?,.... a long time! XXOO's ED!
Nice idea Ed, today is suppose to get up past 50 with 60's later on in the week, melt some of this white stuff.... well at least the days are getting longer.
Hi Ed:
I'm having a little trouble with dealing with this weather also.
This week's temperature will be a welcomed change!
Ed - I'm more than ready for spring. It was great to see the colorful flowers in your photo.
