Pyramid of a Complete Real Estate Agent… Part 5

So far, we have discussed the 4 base building blocks of our pyramid.

Pyramid of a Complete Real Estate Agent… Part 1    KNOWLEDGE

Pyramid of a Complete Real Estate Agent… Part 2   SELLING

Pyramid of a Complete Real Estate Agent… Part 3    MARKETING

Pyramid of a Complete Real Estate Agent… Part 4    OPERATIONAL SYSTEMS

Today, the fifth level of the Real Estate Agent Pyramid is:

TEAM BUILDING

Often times we think of Team Building as adding buyers agents or transaction coordinators, etc.

We sometimes forget that our lender, insurance agent, home inspector, attorney or accountant, are actual team members as well.

Team Building can be quite an art in the midst of selling real estate, but it can be very important when running your business properly.

For nearly 11 years now, I have had the same administrative assistant. I would say I’ve been lucky. She was an agent for about 2 years and looked to me for help and advice along the way. Once she decided not to be an agent any longer, I was in need of some help. It’s been great!

I had hired a second assistant to help with computer and on-line marketing. He was awesome as well, but had to leave after about 4 years working for me.

I once had a buyers agent & found that it wasn’t the best system for me and/or him.

I now refer a lot of business out with the many leads I generate.

I had someone e-mail me the other day, asking for the name of a surveyor to call. I was thrilled they looked to me as a resource!  I immediately e-mailed them back with the name and contact info of a surveyor I know & trust. He’s on my team!

I encourage you to build your team and know someone you can refer to help your customers and clients!

Isn't it great to have a TEAM!!... No matter what you need, you can almost always find someone on your team with the answer.. Most agents don't understand the power of their team.. and don't realize it isn't just their assistance or admin, it is everyone.. the termite guy, the appraiser, the lender, the atty... etc...

Whether or not an agent has a staff, the agent needs a team. Accountability partner, lender, inspecter, handyman, surveryor, etc.

Sheila, you should be the poster child for TEAMS!

Mike, I like the idea of including an accountability partner on your team.

Arleen, thanks for stopping by. I agree!

Phyllis, we often forget of the many people on our team. I think an appreciation event would be in order, as well!
