it is tough when you don't have internet access. It is very unsettling to be disconnected.
I was disconnected from my iPhone for a couple of days and am surprised I still have a heart beat :)
Jon ~ Perhaps this is a not so subtle hint to log off and enjoy the warm sunshine!
Jon - you just miss us ... it's not the same with you just "popping in" and not being "in the moment!" Hope your holiday continues to be fun! (and I'm not talking about the Internet battle ...)
Hannah - yes I do. And who doesn't? But I am working on that
kate - vendetta is on my mind (LOL)
Richard - we need some adrenaline not to get too comfortable, don't we?
Laura - I guess we are creatures of habit, and if something is missing that we used to have, we get antsy (at least I do - LOL)
Jon, not sure where you are/were but I've found the internet to be pricey and slow on most Caribbean islands and cruises. I've decided to try to stay away from it.
When we went to Cuba in Nov. they kept telling us they'd fix the hot water too but it never happened lol. I have to learn to chill out when away from North America.
Andres - don't even tell me abut IPhone. I turned it on and the first message was that ATT would charge me $19.95 plus something, so I put it in Airport mode.
Keith - I can't just sit there all day. Tough about moderatin
Jack - I do, I swear, I do (LOL)
Jenny - that's very true. ut I have a job to do. My daughter is working with us, and sends me what to do for our new website (or a slew of websites), so I need Internet (or better say, I would rather have internet
Don't they have a Starbucks or something? :-) But yeah, man, take a hint and go explore something outside the hotel. Camera still works, so take pictures to post later, you know.
Jon - I had the same experience - very frustrating indeed!
Inna - no Starbucks. And exploring things outside of the hotel is not always a good idea. We ventured once, and had enough, came back and said "no more"
Kristine - 25 yeas ago there was no Internet, and there was no problem. How quickly we get used to things, and how quickly they become a necessity... just fascinating
Jon, that would have been pretty cheap internet time if you had gotten to use it. Do not take a cruise and purchase internet time. They charge by the minute.
Mike - I know, they are crazy. They charge here, but they are smart. $25 and you get 25 hours. But for 6 days only. And if you are here one week, you can add one day for $12, but this would work in the lobby and if you buy 7 days of internet service in the room, then it is $60.
Jon, Thats a tricky business plan !!
