Mayor Mike Bodker gave his State of the Union Address on February 11, 2011 in which he shared with residents that were in attendance at the Atlanta Athletic Club the following:

City of Johns Creek, GA has created the CHATCOM 2010 - which handles 200 calls per day 71,577 per year.
Mayor Bodker encouraged residents to "Choose to Use Johns Creek" and contact their post office and change their mailings to "Johns Creek" instead of Alpharetta and Duluth. 28,000 addresses were verified in 2010 and 138 permits were issued. This is compared to 102 permits in 2009.
The Future - Developing a Strategy, Tell the story better and broader. Questions are: How do we pay for improvements that the city would like to make? Bonds?
This year 2011 we will have the PGA here in Johns Creek which will bring 35,000 - 40,000 per day. It will put our city on the map because we will be viewed worldwide in 185 countries. There will be over 1,000 media outlets in Johns Creek during this period.
Bond Referendum - Charter is at 4.7 mil rate and Citizens have the final decision to approve bonds.
