Hi, here I am again, would like to tell you a true story. Please be aware, that this could happen to you. I decided to use Callwave couple months ago.  what is Call wave. It is a service on the net. You sign up with them, when you receive phone call on your cell, it turns the voice message to text message. It texts you and plus you get to hear the message on your computer. Is not that so cool? Well NO.

I am a very careful person, read all kind s stories about identity theft. Well. I decided to use Callwave couple months ago, though it would be so nice to try something new. I signed up on the web. Tried it couple weeks and then cancelled it. Well, yesterday, my sister called me and asked me "What is Callwave? " while I was trying to explain her, she said she keeps calling me but some massage comes up and says thanks for calling Callwave. Seemed to be so strange. I called my cell, YES it was true.  How could it be? I have canceled the Callwave. I called my cell phone company, they had no knowledge since yesterday. I tried to contact Callwave , they were close. I tried to enter my Callwave account, the password was changed, so somebody out there got my info and changed it to their e mail account, and was listening the messages on their COMPUTER TRUE CALLWAVE  program. And getting those messages as a text message. So i still need to flow this with Callwave. When I called my cell phone company second time, THE ONLY SOLUTION WE FOUND TO RESET THE VOICE SYSTEM. They told me to write some numbers with stars and send it. Then they have sold the problem.

Please , make sure that if you signed up with this kind of service, be aware, somebody might listen to your messages out there. But there is a solution . Your cell phone company have to RESET your voicemail box. They will give you some numbers special code I beleive. Your cell phone company have those settings for you , to RESET your voice mail box. if this happens to you, call your phone company and ask to RESET your VOICEMAIL BOX.

I'm a product manager at CallWave and I apologize that you had a problem with our service. I would be glad to look into the problem more if you'd like to contact me: pdenman@callwave.com.

It is unlikely that someone else was reading or listening to your voicemail. When you attempted to cancel our service, you most likely clicked on cancel from the help page, and that was it. Unfortunately, what you probably did not do was deactivate it from your cell phone. Below I've included the deactivation instructions for the major carriers. So what most likely happened was that after cancelling the service, your calls were still set to forward to our service, but were not being delivered anywhere except our servers. I'm not positive this is the case, but I would be more than happy to look into it for you. Please feel free to contact me.

Here are the deactivation instructions which must be done after canceling the service. When you set up the service you were required to input one of these codes, or something similar, and to deactivate requires the same thing. Rest assured that the most likely scenario was that your messages were deposited on our secure servers, not being forwarded elsewhere. I can try and verify this if you'd like to contact me at pdenman@callwave.com.

To de-activate, please follow these instructions:
  1. Find your de-activation code in the table below.
  2. Enter the first code exactly as written, as if you're dialing someone.
  3. Press "Send" on your phone to dial that number.
  4. If multiple codes are given, repeat steps b & c for each code

AT&T Cingular, T-Mobile, GSM network ##004#

hi, thanks for the info. I have already used the code what you entered before. CallWave was cancelled but it activated some how after a month. My cell phone company checked it the only way to deactivate was to RESET my hall voice MAIL SYSTEM. But thanks any way for the support hope this will never happen again.!
