Alabama Hiking Trail Society Conference

     Feb 25-27, 2011 

Monte Sano State Park, Huntsville, AL

The 10th Anniversary Alabama Hiking Trail Society Conference is heading to North Alabama, February 25-27 at Monte Sano Park in Huntsville.

 

This years event promises to be the best.   The Gorgeous views atop Monte Sano will take your breath away!  Each time I go to Monte Sano I am reminded of how beautiful our area is.  

 

                  

 

There will be hikes, demonstrations, music and more.  From photo contests to the silent auction, this is the perfect event to hone your hiking skills.  Hands on demonstrations will be available for participation including:  The art of light backpacking, hiking gear and orienteering with a map and compass.

 

The featured key note speaker this year will be the legendary hiker, M.J. Eberhart.  He is best known by his hiking moniker “Nimblewill Nomad”.

 

Raffles, entertainment, music and more will round out the Alabama Hiking Trail Society Conference.
