St. Louis stands Presidentially Proud today -Stan the Man receives the Presidential Medal of Freedom

Today was a very proud day for St. Louis.  St. Louis’ own Stan Musial received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama today. 

Today was practically a holiday for the city of St. Louis and the state of Missouri. We could not be more proud to be the home of Stan Musial, one of 15 recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom today.

My father grew up a huge Stan the Man and Cardinal fan, when the Cardinals were the farthest western team in the US.  Musial is a great ballplayer and an even greater person.
