I love Santa Fe. This is definately a town where I could see myself living!
Joan, let me know where to send the relocation packet?
I agree...that quote is so perfect...I get so tired of hearing about "when we get back to the "normal" market" I think this is the new normal! Love teh car too!!!!
wow what an inspriational post. I too have way too much tread. Love it.
Very nice car, indeed! Nice post, Emily!
This is nice post, Emily! Nice shot of the car.
Emily - I best ever trip was to Santa Fe.... my husband went white river rafting with my 2 older sons, and he thought I would stay in the room the whole day wth my 2 year old. WRONG! I drove back into the hills to a wonderful store selling antique rugs.... and then surprised him with it when we got home! Ha! Still love it.. SO many lovely memories. This was a very nice post! Best, Gay
Emily, A great stretch of road between Santa Fe and Taos and what a beauty of a car. Great that you enjoy old cars!
Yes life should be about living in the moment, not too much in the past and definitely looking forward to burning some tread!
Great "high speed" photo!
Gloria
Emily love the quote and the words are so true.
By the way the very first car that my family had when we came from the Azores in 1960, was a 1951 Chevrolet DeSoto. It looked a lot like the car in your picture except that it was a dark gray.
Nice shot and a great quote Emily. Thanks for sharing both.
Mike
Emily: We've never made it down your way ... but you're most definitely on our travel agenda. And as far as the car goes. Wow! A stunning view, for sure! My wife is the big car fanatic in our house. She especially loves the pre-war and WWII-era of cars. The doors that opened up backwards. The loop-pulls above the door to help passengers out. The running boards. Just more "romantic" she says. She would have loved this one ... so thanks for the pic. I'm passing it on!

Hi Emily, great visual, beautiful and very classic car, and a wonderful as well as very inspirational quote. Lots of tread as well as positive attitude left with me. Thanks for sharing.
Deborah, I think we all have the tread and experience for this new normal. Thank you!
Kate, tread works!
Christa, thank you, I love cars with a story.
Chirag, moving cars like are market can be challenging but worth being on the road with them.
Gay, ok, now when did you say you were coming back???
Gloria, for some reason our 401 year old community has a lot of "moving" classic cars on our roads. I'll keep posted on my high speed images.
George, I'm still doing research on the car... it turned off without my getting a second look. Thanks for the tip on a Chevrolet DeSoto...I'll check it out.
Mike, thank you! You team looks they have a lot of tread!
Gene, I have some homework to do to find you an image of one of those rare 1941 2-Door Coupe's Ford stopped making after Pearl Harbor.
Judith, we all have so much to be positive about in our lives. Thanks for appreciating this story.
'Never been to Santa Fe, but you make it sound so appealing...
LOVE the photo!
