Board of Directors Meeting:  The Board of Directors will hold their monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 2nd, at 7PM, in the Potomac Club Ballroom.  The resident forum portion of the meeting will begin at 7:00PM through 7:20PM  All residents interested in addressing the Board must sign up online at www.lansdownehoa.com and click on the "Contact the HOA" tab, then click on Resident Forum.  Residents may also sign up at the Potomac Club front desk prior to the meeting date.  You must be signed up to speak before 5:00PM. the day of the Board meeting. Residents who sign up will each have three minutes to address the Board during the resident forum.


 

 

Neighborhood Mixer: Tired of coming straight home after work? Ever wonder who else lives in the community?  Come out and meet your neighbors!  The Activities Committee is hosting an adult only "Neighborhood Mixer" at Stonewalls Tavern in the Lansdowne Resort on Thursday, March 24, from 7PM to 9PM.

Stonewalls is a great place to come watch the NCAA basketball game with 5 flat screen TV's.  Residents may also enjoy pool tables, darts and shuffle board. Light appetizers will be provided. One drink ticket per person

Teen Coalition Volunteer Appreciation: If you are a Lansdowne teen interested in community service, friendship and participating in The Lansdowne Teen Coalition, please join us at the Potomac Club on Sunday, February 27th, 3PM-5PM.

The Lansdowne Activities Committee would like to take this time to thank the teens who have given their time and talents in the past year, get to know those who wish to help with future events and become part of the Teen Coalition.

Pizza and Refreshments will be served.

Winter Swim Clinic Registration: The Lansdowne Lightning Swim Team is very excited to offer the Winter Swim Clinic to our Lansdowne families.  The purpose of the Winter Clinic is to allow the swimmers to prepare for the summer swimming league.  This clinic will work on stroke refinement.  It is not a learn-to-swim clinic. Swimmers must be able to swim at least 25 meters unassisted.

Dates for Sunday Clinic:

February 20th and 27th
March 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th
April 3rd and 10th
May 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd

No classes on April 17 or 24th (Spring Break)

Time of Classes:

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM ~ 8 and Under
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM ~ 9 - 10
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM ~ 11 and up

Note:  If your child is identified as having skills above his or her age group, he/she may be asked to join an age group that practices at another time.

Maximum registrants will be 30 per hour or 90 swimmers total. Please register early to guarantee your spot.

Cost:  $85.00

Membership Cards:  The summer season is just around the corner and we would like to remind residents to bring their membership cards when using the facilities.  If you misplaced or lost your card, a replacement can be purchased for $5 from the front desk.


 

Facebook Page:The Lansdowne HOA now has a Facebook page, where important information will be posted regarding neighborhood events, announcements, and other important items. This page will be a supplement to both the Lansdowne Update and blast e-mails, and will be an easy neighborhood reference for residents.


 

 

Crime Report(January 31 - February 13, 2011): No incidents were reported in Lansdowne for this period.
