While browsing the business section at the local bookstore, I found The Marketing Gurus: Lessons from the Best Marketing Books of All Time by Chris Murray. The book consists of seventeen summaries of the top marketing books over the last fifteen years, including:
- The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell
- Positioning by Jack Trout and Al Ries
- The Popcorn Report by Faith Popcorn
- Purple Cow by Seth Godin
- Relationship Marketing by Regis McKenna
Reading further, I saw that these summaries were produced by Soundview Executive Book Summaries. This looks like a great resource! Through their site, you can access summaries of 30 books per year for only $119. A CD version is only $169. They also have Speed Reviews of hundreds of top business books and Author Source, which provides background info on authors including bios, websites and email links.
So if you're struggling to find the time or money to keep up with the latest in business books, maybe Summary.com can offer a solution. You'll still get the knowledge, plus the bonus of having more time for business or more important things.
