Denver's January housing stats are out!

January and the first part of February in Denver was slow, due to VERY cold and snowy weather!     Sellers did not list their homes, and the homes on the market did not get too many showings.   Good news, looks like the banks are approved more offers (the pending status), so maybe the distressed properties will have less effect on our resale homes in the near future!     With this information, the numbers are not so bad ----

 

January 2011 stats - Denver

The weather is in the 60's all week, full sun, and the snow is all expected to be a memory.     Real estate should be hopping this weekend!

Hi Joan, Hoping the better weather brings out buyers in your area and for you!  January seems for the most part to be a typically slower time of year for us here as well.  Seems the weather no matter how bad or cold seems to have that effect on everyone!

Same here on Long Island Joan. The weather made the market slower with so much snow around, but this weekend looks like "the sun" is arising again!

DeeDee, maybe the "after glow" of Christmas?    I usually try and get sellers to list, as the inventory is lower, and the possibility of a buyer is greater in January!
