Every Quarter I always read various reports on which improvements give you the best bang for your buck or better yet which ones to avoid.  Everyone wants to know which improvements are most important... You should really know the answer if you are thinking about selling your home in the near future. 

 I recently upgraded my kitchen, one because my family and I would enjoy a updated kitchen and two we would have a much easier selling our home with a kitchen upgrade than without.

Frank, I just don't think you can go wrong with kitchens and bathrooms!  That is where the investors put the money for a good resale!
