I'm in the process of adding some maps to our site. The one to the right is free from Google. You can get it here. Enter the information for your business - I'm using my favorite coffee shop address in San Ramon, CA as it is in the center of my farm instead of the Keller Williams Danville Market Center which we work out of.

You can type a business name, business type or address into the search function box.

If you're an agent that likes to build a separate site for specific listings, consider adding one of these maps so visitors can check out where the dry cleaners, grocery store, video store, Starbucks and etc. are. These are especially useful for relocators.

Here's a little tool for mapping out the route for visiting up to ten addresses. This is great for broker's tour or when you're taking out a client that wants to see multiple properties.

And then there's MapKit - a product that has overwhelming possibilities - especially for those with blogging addiction

We,The Harper Team, would like to add you to our map of referral agents and we would like to get on your referral map as well. We have referred over $3 million dollars worth of business this year to other agents. We spent an average of 2 to 3 hours of our time in interviewing agents to find a good match for the client we were referring. Imagine the time savings if we had well established relationships. If I ever have a client moving to say -  Poinciana, Fl - you can be sure the first call I'm making is to Broker Bryant. Why, well read his posts for a couple of months.

One of the great things about blogging is you can get a fairly good read on people from watching their posts over time. It's not foolproof, but it's hard to maintain a good deception over a long period of time unless you're a complete sociopath.

Thanks John,

I'll check this out and add to my site. I appreciate it.

I am new to blogging and I can't believe the amount of weblogs out there.

Usually trends start on the west coast and then they finally reach little NH years later. Just a few of us really blogging here from NH. My wife Monika and a colleague Ann Cummings who introduced us here.

Thanks Jay

Thanks for all of the map ideas.  My next order of business is to check out all of your map links to see what you like.  I use Microsoft Streets and Trips to set up my showings and give me directions between the homes.  It's also great for a CMA to pinpoint where the sold and active comps are in relation to the subect property.  Of course, Google Earth helps for those buyers who want a home next to open space or a mountain. Mapping technology is rapidly changing and making us look even more proficient than already are.

I just saw a book about customizing Google Maps and Google Earth in the bookstore but didn't buy it. Now I can check out these links and tools first. I'm a listing agent with The Brenkus Team and would like to put together some sales maps for our presentation. Will you be coming to Family Reunion in February?
