Wordless Wednesday - Jade vines flowering again in Haiku Maui HI

Wordless Wednesday - Jade vines flowering again

It's springtime in Haiku Maui and that means the jade flower vines are starting to display their beautiful long flower stalks.  Each strand can be 3-4 feet long or more!  When you see a trellis covered with these exotic flowers you will be amazed!

Wordless Wednesday - Jade vines flowering again

Even the fallen flowers covering the ground are a beautiful sight.  The individual flowers can be strung into flower leis that will be treasured.

These photos were taken with my iPhone yesterday, and you can see much better ones that I posted last year.

Haiku Maui is a great place for growing tropical flowers and fruit trees.  With plenty of rainfall and sunshine, your garden will grow all year long!

Hi Georgina, The colors are a real fascination. The greenish blue color of these flowers nearly simulating the color of the ocean reflecting over the near white sand in the Caribbean and is just awesome.

It's a really unusual color for a flower, and a really unusual looking flower too.

Thanks again for the comments.  I really need to check the local nurseries for this plant too, and get my own vine growing.

Georgina - I just bought some jade succulents and they sure don't look like that.  Mine are green with red tips - guess I need to do some more shopping.  That looks SO NEAT.
